George Calabrese
ELECTRICAL
George Calabrese is a member of the IBEW Local 103 with a diverse construction background. His electrical experience spans everything from residential construction including finishing old work and new construction to industrial 900 mega watt power plants. He’s held the title of apprentice, journeyman, foreman, general foreman, general superintendent, estimator, project manager, and sponsor. In his tenure with Kiewit he worked with and managed over a thousand electricians, and hundreds more employees of various trades. He currently owns and operates his own electrical contracting business working throughout the northeast.
Throughout his career, George has earned a proven track record for on the job safety, management, leadership and knowledge of the NEC Code. He is the only project manager in Kiewit history to have a project awarded the OSHA star.
His experience as both a sponsor and as a self employed electrician has given him a wide range of understanding of the intricacies of the NEC Code and how it is applicable across multiple levels of electrical projects, m construction and development. His on the job experiences have given him a keen insight and understanding of the changes, amendments and new code regulation set forth in the 2017 and 2020 NEC Code Update and how they are to be applied during all phases of electrical work.
Allan Goodman: Solomon Publications
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR
Allan H. Goodman’s courses are designed to introduce you to legal topics of
interest to construction professionals. He is is an experienced arbitrator,
mediator, and judge on the United States Civilian Board of Contract
Appeals, where he adjudicates claims between private contractors and the
federal government. From 1975 to 1993, he was an attorney in private
practice. His practice emphasized construction law, surety law, and
government contract law. From 1988-2001 he was an Adjunct Professor at
the Georgetown University Law Center, where he taught Construction
Contract Law. From 1996-1997 he was a member of the National
Construction Arbitrator Training Faculty of the American Arbitration
Association.
Mr. Goodman is the author of two best-selling books on conflict resolution,
Basic Skills for the New Arbitrator, 2d edition (Solomon Publications, 2004)
and Basic Skills for the New Mediator, 2d edition (Solomon Publications,
2004). He is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign
Service and the University of Toledo College of Law and a member of the
Bars of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland.
Chris Magoun
PRESIDENT
Prior to starting M.E.P. Con. Ed., LLC., Chris spent the last 5 years as Director of Course Development for a nationwide online training company. In his experience he has worked with many authors in developing OSHA, HAZWOPER, Hoisting, Construction Supervisor, Electrical and Plumbers continuing education courses across many states. He has developed over three dozen professional continuing education and certificate training courses for the trades industry. He has excellent experience in working with state boards, municipalities and contractor associations such as UCANE, JATC and IBEW to gain valuable insight on providing the best platform for online training from the customer point of view. As and Executive, Chris has over 10 years of experience in successfully building online applications and technology assisted training platforms.
Matt Lewis
PLUMBING & GAS FITTING
Director of Training and Instructor of Harold Brothers Training Institute, Matt Lewis holds a Massachusetts Master and Journeyman Plumber and Gas Fitters License. Matt graduated from Brockton High School in 1988.
He attended the New England Institute of Technology and received a degree in Plumbing and Heating Theory in 1992. Matt worked as a licensed Massachusetts Plumber and Gas Fitter for over 25 years before accepting a teaching role at Madison Park High School in the Plumbing Program in 2018. He went on to become the lead educator for Madison Park High School Plumbing Department for several years.
In 2022 he rejoined Harold Brothers Training Institute as the new Director of Training where he teaches tiers 1-5 to the next generation of plumber and gas fitter apprentices along with plumber and gas fitter mandatory continuing education.
Matt recently authored Session 15 MCE which has been approved by the Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters.
Having been in the field for over 25 years, Matt brings a fresh approach to teaching and delivers exceptional curriculums based on his experience and understanding of the code and regulations and how they are applicable in real-world situations.
Gerald Fusco
PLUMBING & GAS FITTING
Director of Training and Instructor of HBTI, Gerald Fusco, holds 4 masters licenses in the mechanical contracting field in Massachusetts and 2 in New Hampshire. He also holds several instructor licenses and certificates including Plumbing, Pipefitting, Sheet metal, OSHA outreach safety, ASSE 6050, and is a Master Trainer for the National Center for Construction, Education and Research. Gerald's last authored courses are Session 11, 12, 13 and 14 for Mass Plumbing Continuing Education Online with M.E.P. Con. Ed., LLC.
Tragically, Gerald "Jerry" Fusco, passed away shortly after completing Session 14. We lost a great instructor, author, mentor, and friend.
We honor Jerry's memory with the continuation in our effort to strive for excellence in continuing education, and to truly care about the students who learn from our online courses.

Responsible for all aspects of school operation from hiring instructors, complying with state public school regulations and audits, to reporting and record keeping of certifications.
